Lukáš Svoboda
Lukáš is a lawyer by education and a chief editor by profession. He has been involved in family history and genealogy for more than ten years. During his research he fell under the spell of old land books and since then he has been trying to promote them as an important source of knowledge. He occasionally publishes on his Czech blog and has also privately published several family histories in book form.
Katherine Elizabeth Vasicek Challis
Kate is a fifth generation Texas Czech who has been actively researching her own family since 2007. She quickly realized that the key to understanding Czech genealogy was to learn Czech, which was the impetus behind gaining an MA in Linguistics. Kate is the marketing chair for CGSI (Czechoslovak Genealogical Society International) and enjoys blogging about Czech genealogy. She spends her free time with her husband and five kids in the suburbs of Des Moines, Iowa.
